Global Health: Preparation for International and Underserved Practice

Family medicine is a specialty that uniquely prepares its physicians to practice medicine in international and underserved communities.

Thanks to generous support from the AAFP Foundation, a video has been created in which you will hear from students, residents and practicing physicians who have gained valuable experience caring for populations abroad. We suggest using this video as a teaching aid in an FMIG event on global health opportunities.

If you're interested in learning more about what the AAFP's International Activities Office is doing, check out the quarterly AAFP International Update Newsletter.

Watch the Global Health Video -- Flash Player 9 is required. This presentation is approximately 25 minutes in length.
