American Medical Student Association (AMSA) -- AMSA is a student-governed, national organization committed to representing the concerns of physicians-in-training. With a membership of more than 68,000 medical students, premedical students, interns, residents and practicing physicians from across the country, AMSA continues its commitment to improving medical training and the nation's health.
AspiringDocs.org -- This new site, created by the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC), is part of a larger campaign to raise awareness about the need for more diversity in medicine and to connect minority students to key resources. Information and advice from experts on preparing for medical school, taking the MCAT, admissions, financial aid and financial management is available.
Explore Family Medicine: A Roadmap for Your Future -- This guide provides information, links and career planning information to help students explore age-appropriate resources addressing family medicine as a career and applying to medical school.

FIRST for Medical Education -- The AAMC has provided Financial Information, Resources, Services and Tools (FIRST) for members of the academic medical community to navigate the complexities of student debt. The section for pre-health advisors contains a Power Point presentation and talking points with information for undergraduates about financing medical education.
National Area Health Education Center Organization -- The National AHEC Organization supports a network that provides programs in states that connect student to health careers, health professionals to communities and communities to better health.
Student Doctor Network -- As an independent community of students, advisors, educators and practicing physicians, the Student Doctor Network offers articles, blogs, discussion forums and more for pre-med and medical students, residents and practicing physicians, and those seeking or currently involved in international medicine.
Student National Medical Association (SNMA) Minority Association of Pre-Medical Students (MAPS) -- SNMA MAPS chapters are designed to provide underrepresented pre-medical and pre-health students with SNMA member benefits and experiences that will help them build the skills necessary to enter the healthcare workforce and have a successful career, particularly in medicine.
Student Osteopathic Medical Association (SOMA) -- The pre-med section of the Student Osteopathic Medical Association, known as Pre-SOMA, has affiliate chapters at numerous undergraduate campuses around the country. Ventures Scholars Program -- This national membership program is designed to help underrepresented and first-generation college-bound students interested in pursuing math- and science-based careers link to information, resources, and opportunities that will help them successfully pursue their career goals.
