National Conference
National Conference of Family Medicine Residents and Medical Students
It only happens once a year — the only national conference that connects the entire family medicine chain:
The National Congress of Student Members (NCSM), which convenes during the conference, offers the ideal forum for discussing issues and concerns facing medical students. The NCSM business sessions provide the opportunity to have a voice in AAFP policies and positions and to elect AAFP student leaders.
- Medical students;
- Family medicine residents;
- Practicing physicians and physician recruiters;
- Representatives from fellowship programs and medical missions;
- Faculty and program directors from residency programs across the nation;
- Policy and advocacy leaders, and more!

2011 FMIG Presentations

In 2011, the FMIG presentations included a great presentation from Dr. Katherine Wager and Dr. Neil Mitnick from Albany Medical College on community service, FMIG best practices from six Program of Excellence award winners, and all the FMIG basics as presented by the FMIG Network Regional Coordinators and National Coordinator.
