The student interest discussion forum serves as a communication tool for all students interested in family medicine. Pose questions about medical school, residency or the process of becoming a family physician, seek opportunities and explore family medicine. Students may share mentoring tips, advice on getting in and going through medical school, and pre-med or FMIG campus activities.

The forum is not for commercial purposes and should not be used to promote any particular school/program, nor should it be used to solicit answers to test questions, find places to live or post any type of spam.

The discussion forum functions in two ways: as a listserv, in which e-mail messages are sent to all members of the list, and as a discussion board, which categorizes messages and replies by topic. In order to join the list, send an e-mail to fmignet@aafp.org. Once subscribed, you can view the discussion forum "threads," or categorized messages, by logging in to the student interest discussion forum message page.

Please note that you will not be able to view the discussion threads unless you have subscribed to the forum.
