FMIG On Campus

The AAFP established the National FMIG Network to aid communication and the exchange of best practices between FMIG students and faculty leaders. The network consists of campus faculty and student FMIG leaders, appointed Regional Coordinators, and one elected National Coordinator. These coordinators serve as consultants to and resources for FMIGs. Contact your regional coordinator and access program guides and other best practices established by award-winning FMIGs.

New for FMIGs are two resources that can be used to recruit members to the interest group. A postcard (2-page PDF file; About PDFs) and 11x17" poster (1-page PDF file; About PDFs) can be distributed at activities fairs, displayed across your medical school's campus or e-mailed to peers who may be interested in joining an FMIG. If you'd like to order hard copies, e-mail us for more information.

For FMIG Students -- Resources for FMIG student leaders and members, including the FMIG Manual, contact information for FMIG Network leaders and other AAFP student leaders, regional FMIG events calendars, brochures and handouts, the FMIG logo and guidelines, funding opportunities, and the Program of Excellence Awards.
For Faculty Advisors -- The FMIG Faculty Advisor Manual and links to other documents and presentations that might be useful to faculty advisors.
Conferences, Connections, and Collaboration -- Connect with other FMIGs, with other organizations, and with other students. This section includes chapter and school websites, AAFP National Conference of Family Medicine Residents and Medical Students, National Primary Care Week, and collaboration with the Student National Medical Association.
